One word - 'Hipster PDA'. Okay that was two, whatever! The point is don't be stupid like me and pay big bucks in an effort to get organised. With this nifty solution you can create a versatile diery/organiser from basic stationary. And you can hack it to suit your personal needs!

Are you sick of using a keyboard? Want the iPod Touch to go that little bit further? Maybe the Media Wall is for you. This is an 8 foot by 3 foot Interactive Touch wall where you can surf the web, display your images and pretty much do anything you want a computer to do, it would be one hell of a TV if you can find a place to put it. Boys start banking those credits with the other half now, once you see this you will want it BAD. A Dribble tray may be required so you don't destroy your keyboard!
If that price point is a bit out of your reach maybe this can satiate you requirement for awesome technology and the hand as your computer input device. Check out the Microsoft Surface, (if you aren't a Bill hater) it may scratch that itch.
I want one of these but I think the only way I will ever get my hands on one is if I win the Lotto, (Very Little Chance) or a rich relative leaves me a wad of cash (Even Less Likely)
I was going to call this the monthly update but realise that 46 days have passed and only on Mars would this be a month so I won't. I will try to do better next time.
The news: I am now QSA Panelist for Pre-Vocational Maths. Desperation does strange things but I spent the last day of April at a panel meeting going over stuff from the Central West - not that there was a lot but it looks good on paper. ANZAC day resulted in my year 10 SOSE class having to research KIA Diggers from the memorial here in Longreach which meant they had badges to wear in the march - looked pretty good and the RSL much pleased to see the kids finding out stuff so kudos to me.
I will be in Bris-vague-us this weekend for the AMRA Train show at the RNA with my model railway. If you go to the Labor Day march it will be across the road from where it ends so step on over and say g'day.
Other news. Toby (aka SD1 - SD meaning stupid dog although sometimes BD is more like it, such as barking at 2 am at possums) has learnt from the pony club how to jump fences and gates and does so very gracefully. While it is a joy to watch, it does mean I am going to have to work out how to clip his wings. The Boss has said I cannot tie bricks to his paws so will have to do something with one of the staples of the bush - No 8 Fencing Wire - and raise the height of the fence until it is above his PB.
DD2 (aka Jessica) has learnt to crawl so nothing is safe. DD1 (Hollie) is in two minds about this as it is kind of cool for your sister to play with you but also a pain when she gets into your stuff that you don't want her in. God help either of them when DD2 is walking or NK comes along (maybe next year).
Not much else. Not very interesting but there you have it.
One other thing - have a read of Ed Views May - article about the DBay (D Where? DBAY!) school captain. Nice kid, great idea about HECS and literacy in remote areas. Autographs later from the speech writer...
